![]() ![]() Learn About UsThe Best of Both WorldsWith more than 50 years of IT recruiting experience between us and several extensive focus groups at some of the top companies in the country, we thought better. There had to be a solution for hiring contract and contract-to-hire employees at a reduced cost and yet still maintain greater control over the hiring process while keeping quality as the mainstay. On one hand, the HR community had traditional placement firms that could find quality candidates and provide great service but at great cost. On the other, there were inexpensive job boards. Easy on the budget, however in order to find the right candidate that would exceed even the toughest internal critic's expectations, one had to sift through a literal mountain of resumes without any prescreening and not much support. So in early 2002, we set out to do the impossible. Not finding an off-the-shelf technology that fit the bill, the company, then named Local ContractJobs, built a resume collection and search engine tool that is tailored specifically to the needs of a corporate recruiter. The technology took the name SearchSmart Because the service positively impacted bottom-line results and its model could just as easily apply for a typical permanent search, we expanded our services to include full-time placements upon client requests in 2004. It's the best of both worlds. A makes-sense combination of do-it-yourself technology combined with a dedicated account manager to do what technology can't do. Clients like the model so much they have taken us into other US cities for help in their searches outside Atlanta. To cover our geographic spread and honor our bread and butter, we renamed the company Search Smart, recruiting with impact, in early 2006. |
