![]() ![]() Learn About Us > TeamPhilosophy: Make Work FunSteadfast, quirky, cosmopolitan. Search Smart's team goes far beyond the key management covered more in depth below. While we can't list them all here (as their accolades pile a mile high), rest assured it's a savvy bunch. Some have sat for many years as a recruiter in both small and large organizations and understand the ins and outs that the job requires. Others have the technological backend experience that runs our engine effortlessly day in and day out. With this group, you also get loads of personality. Here's more about our president.
Rick RicePresident/CEO rrice@searchsmartinc.com Rick has more than 23 years of staffing experience. Entrepreneurial by nature, he got a solid background in what he loves most–placing people in positions that elevate both the candidate and the company–before he set out to build his own company. He currently runs Search Smart, an innovative solution to staffing that he wished had been available long ago. Rick is most fulfilled when he is either building something, helping someone, or trying to make things better. He weaves those philosophies into his day-to-day activities as much as he can and the results speak for themselves. Rick was director of permanent placement of MATRIX Resource, one of the largest IT staffing companies in the country, where he turned his department into a major arm of their business. Prior to that position, he was a managing partner of Abacus Networks, an IT staffing firm that was a division of Brannon & Tully and then sold to Comforce Corp (AMEX: CFS). All in all Rick has built and managed several large Information Technology staffing firms and departments from the ground up. Rick has always been active in industry-specific associations, currently on one of the SHRM (Society of Human Resources Management) boards and also served as a director for GAPS (Georgia Association of Personnel Services). Rick received his bachelor's of arts in computer science from the University of Tennessee. He spends his free-time coaching youth sports teams. A long time sports enthusiast, Rick collects sports memorabilia, plays golf, and collects wine. He's married with one son. |
